5/11 SBGC Meeting!
With my work schedule getting back to normal I was able to attend May's SBGC meeting after missing the last 2 months, I was preoccupied preparing minis and terrain for Kublacon this weekend so didn't get to post the pictures until now.
Greg ran the Battle of Arracourt using Fireball Forward
And Nick ran a Mexican-American War game: the Battle of Buena Vista, using Black Powder. This was the game I played in, and I took the American center. I think the game was going well for the Mexican's for most of the game, but as they attacked over difficult terrain and we defended in depth, their momentum was eventually spent and their attacking units became battered trying to push us back. As soon as I saw the opportunity present itself, I sent 4 units of cavalry I had been holding since the start of the game to overwhelm the Mexican center. The loss of their center made the Mexican left and right crumble and retreat from the field, allowing us to win at the last minute.
Chuck also ran his WW2 air combat game but it seemed to end before I could get away from my own table and take pictures
I had fun and look forward to our next meeting.
